This is why I scare myself sometimes

So I am commenting on a friend's photo over on Flickr and she mentions she saw a double rainbow. And someone had commented about a triple he saw once. Well, I could not just let that go unchallenged, so I related the following which, by the way, along with the other rainbow commentary, has nothing whatsoever to do with my friends photo.

"I once saw a rainbow that was incredibly bright and vivid and I tried to chase it. It was funny because when I caught it, I grabbed it and whirled it all around like a giant streamer and then got the idea that I ought to have a parade to honor it, so I tied it to a broomstick and matched right down Williamson Road in Roanoke with it. The police, however, claimed they couldn't see it and not only charged me with a trumped up drunk-in-public citation, but they also tacked on a parade-without-a-permit ticket to boot!

Joke was on them, though. I was on mushrooms. Silly cops!"

Yup, I'm a dork.

Streams of consciousness sometimes flood my thinking. When I stop to think, that is.
